March 20, 2006, Connections with Ian Forrest, this week features, Merl Hodge and Jacquie Burgess looking at the issues of women in Trinidad and Tobago and how that society is dealing with needed changes to its appreciation of corporal punishment. You also get a chance to meet Lester ‘ska’ Sterling, an original member of the world famous Skatalites, alongside one of its youngest veterans Kevin Batchelor. Ms. Lou is in the mix too to speak about the Jamaican woman, as is Sonita Morin – Abrahams who is our guest on Motivations.

March 13, 2006: Connections this week features excerpts of the Millennium Sistahs road trip to Trinidad and Tobago in which you'll hear about AIDS/HIV stigma in that country, Glenda White Hills head of the organization, conducting a safe sex education session in the bush and Merle Hodge of Working Women placing the Trini Woman in the labor struggle there. We feature too the music of Ricardo Greenaway and play a new one from Tanya Stevens...our Motivations guest is Sis Mariamne Samad.

March 6, 2006, Brooklyn: Connections this week features 6th Graders from St. Paul Christian School, their Principal Rita McCormick, community member Tony Kay and NY City Council member Charles Barron on the recent east coast stop of the Covenant with Black America Tour. Featured too is the acceptance speech from newly elected PNP President and Jamaican Prime Minister designate Portia Simpson- Miller, along with comments from Immigration Authority and Head of Team Jamaica Bickle, Irwine Claire as he assesses the meaning of Ms. Simpson Miller's win. There is too a conversation with anti-Diabetes campaigner, Herb Binger and Motivations this week comes from a simply dynamic woman, Grace Christie.

Feb 27, 2006, Brooklyn: Connections this week features the presentation of Steve Theodore at the recent Caribbean Dialogue held at the Brooklyn Public Library; A vox pop on the win of Portia Simpson to the leadership of the PNP in Jamaica; Epraim Martin on the launch of the 25th International Reggae and World Music Awards; Irie Jam's Bobby Clarke and Louis Grant on their latest programming innovation, Give the Youths a buss; and Motivations with Reggae Superstar, Luciano.

Features interviews with the world's two fastest women, Veronica Campbell of Jamaica and Lauryn Williams of the US, as well as conversations with UWI's, Sir George Alleyne and E. Nigel Harris. In the mix too is NY State Senator Kevin Parker and the weekly feature, Motivations is with Carolyn Cooper. And on the 61st commemoration of his earthday, Bob Marley speaks on music.

Features: Wishes, showcasing aspirations for the year 2006 from the streets of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn ; Transit worker, David Harris speaking from the picket line about the historic NYC transit strike in; NYC Council member, Charles Barron on what was at stake as well as what was achieved from the strike itself; Yvonne McCalla sobers, leading human rights activist on the situation facing Jamaican society as its murder toll sets another record in 2005; and Renato Adams, one of Jamaicas most known cops, offering a word in song for Jamaica's criminals and residents of its crime infested areas.

January 30, 2006: this week features presentations from the recently held Caribbean Dialogue at the Brooklyn Public Library at Grand Army Plaza, "Examining Caribbean Media Coverage in NYC". Presenting are Felicia Persaud of Hardbeat News, Shaun Walsh of Whatz Up NY and Bernard White of WBAI FM 99.5. Showcasing music from Cocoa T, Monty Alexander, Luciano and Ernest Ranglin it includes Motivations with Jamaican Bobsledder, Tal Stokes and poetry from Keisha-Gaye Anderson, author of Circle Unbroken.
